Having some fun with a camera!

This afternoon we decided to try out some simple but effective animation tricks...

Take a look at what we've done!

The following videos were created using movie maker software and a lot of photos we'd taken!

And finally a video of our attempts using the camera to record people and a spot of magic!

Champions!

The school was awash of Blue and Red today in support of the Championship final.

Bristol City (Red) were playing the unfortunately named BCFC (blues)

And it is my great honour to share with you the winning team..

Congratualtions to the Blues and their spectacular 3-0 win over the Brilliant Bristol side!

Miss Butler!
Because without her hard work, we wouldn't have had such a wonderful tournament! (It's such a shame all that hard work comes from a blue nose!)

Haka Ka Mate

Alton Castle

Well, what a day we've had today!

A lovely day has been had by all at Alton Castle. We've searched the grounds for words on a map, got soaked trying to save a frog from a pipe and spent a wonderful afternoon "helping" blindfolded friends around a course.
Throughout the day we had the opportunity to reflect on our confirmation and the gifts we received from the Holy Spirit.

Woah! It was such a Fab day, we even learnt a new song....Ask year 6, they will be happy to teach you the song and the actions!  : )

Confirmation

Sunday 5th February 2012 marks the next step in the journey of Year 6!

Archbishop Bernard Longley will be joining us at tomorrows confirmation mass and we are all really excited!( and maybe a little nervous?!)

There has been lots of hard work and preparation throughout year 6's time at Corpus Christi and I'm sure tomorrow will be a wonderful day to celebrate and share all of that work and effort. 

Lets hope any snow that falls doesn't cause too much difficulty and only adds to the beautiful celebration of the day.

Really looking forward to seeing you all tomorrow!

The chemicals we throw in the air,

In the future I worry,
Our plants and animals are going to scurry,
Its never too late to start on a clean slate,

Our planet is being polluted,
And warnings we are given are being muted.

We need to stop our harmful ways,
And think about how we appraise,

But now we need to know the truth.

We need to see our home is being abused,
And we need to stop before we lose,
Everything that nature produces,
We destroy and make excuses.

We need to take a final chance,
To save our planet in advance.
We need to treat the earth truly kind,
After all it is yours and mine.

We consumers do not care about our needy world,
And yes I mean the one with trees that gives us oxygen.
And why do we destroy the Earth when all it did was twirled
Instead of saving animals we care about our fashion.

Committing deforestation just to hunt for gold.
We don’t even care about horrid global warming
We still don’t care that winter wasn’t cold
With illegal poaching we don` t find that appalling.
