Lest we forget

Today we've been making some comparisons.

We've had lots of fun looking at all of the wonderful artefacts from WW2, but today we thought about what those objects mean to us.

We looked at all of the things we have - freedom, the right to choose, friends from all over the world, a safe environment, equality. . .

It occurred to us, that we only have these things because of the hundreds and thousands of brave men and women who have given and are giving their lives to protect us and our country.

And for that we are truly grateful, we will always remember and we will always be thankful.
"never has so much, been owed to so few,by so many" Winston Churchill

So this November 11th, make sure you join 6W in a day of remembrance.
As a wise year 6 said . . .

"without our past, we have no future"

We WILL Remember
