Bouncing off the walls....again!

We've been experimenting with light recently . . .

And we've decided to emulate our Scientific heroes at MythBusters HQ -
On an episode named "let there be light" Jamie and Adam try to copy a scene from the film "The Mummy".

In the scene the hero uses a set of mirrors and the sunlight to light the dark crypt of the mummy, deep underground.

We wanted to see if it was possible. . . We've been looking at reflection of light and testing angles of reflection so we put our knowledge to great use!
Turns out, with a big enough light source and mirrors with shiny, reflective surfaces we could  light up a room...

Here are some of our investigations - next step....can we reflect the light around our classroom?!?

This group take their time moving the mirrors, trying to find the right positions to reflect the beam of light.

This group, have managed a reflection...if you look closely you can see the torch and then a beam of light stretching from the top mirror to the bottom mirror.

What a fantastic reflection! This group managed to reflect a single beam of light across 3 mirrors . . . A fab job!

We wonder where we can take this reflective skill ! ! !
